Z-Wave

Z-Wave is a wireless communication protocol specifically designed for smart home automation and IoT devices. Operating on a low-frequency radio band (usually 908 MHz in the U.S.), it minimizes interference with Wi-Fi and other networks. Z-Wave employs a mesh network, allowing devices to pass data through one another, improving range and reliability. It is energy-efficient and supports devices such as smart locks, thermostats, and sensors. Z-Wave ensures interoperability between certified devices, regardless of the manufacturer. Its robust security features and long-range performance make it popular in home automation systems.
